3cx Three Charlie X-ray [?]

3cx is an abbreviated reference to a group of enlisted career fields that existed in the United States Air Force. The AFSCs (Air Force Speciality Codes) that made up this group are as follows.

• 3C0X1 - Communication - Computer Systems Operations
• 3C0X2 - Communication - Computer Systems Programming
• 3C1X1 - Radio Communuications Systems
• 3C1X2 - Electromagnetic Spectrum Management
• 3C2X1 - Communication - Computer Systems Control
• 3C3X1 - Communication - Computer Systems Planning & Implementation

The owner of this blog, from the time he graduated high school, spent 15 years working in and with these career fields and the similar MOSes/ratings in the Army, Navy, and Marines. The time spent doing this hugely impacted his world view and set the foundation for the rest of his life. As such, the 3cx.org domain seemed fitting.

It's also a nice, short three letter domain name.
