The USMC has decided to appeal Col Folsom's ruling. Apparently, they've not yet spent enough of our damn money persecuting an innocent man. I guess they'll get to use their damn million dollar "media center" a bit more.
Unbelievable! [nctimes.com]
If you're comfortable with doing so, please write your Congressman or Senator. This has to stop!

This story [myfoxla.com] points to the heart of the illegal alien problem in America. Time and again we see illegals committing crimes after they've been released from jail or prison, but not deported. In this instance, Jamiel Shaw was gunned down by a piece of illegal alien human excrement. Pedro Espinoza was just released -- the day before he killed Shaw -- from the county jail. The question of the day is of course -- why the hell wasn't he deported?
Shaw's parents spoke to the city council yesterday. I can't imagine what they're going through. I hope they can get some traction with the city council for their proposed Jamiel's Law [sfgate.com].
What is up with local governments using the power of office to attempt to censor American citizens. Here is yet another.
American Thinker: Hawaii Government Demands Cartoon be Censored
Radio commentator Michael Savage had the local San Francisco Board of Trustees attempt to censor him. Local governments across the U.S. routinely censor Christmas related displays. Is this still America? If so, when was the 1st Amendment repealed?
The Buffalo News: Former state employee wins $150,000 in reverse discrimination case
I'll keep this brief (not that I actually post anything anymore). What in the hell does "reverse racial discrimination" mean anyway? Apparently, only us white folk can be racist. After a rare reverse racial discrimination trial in Buffalo’s federal court, a jury Tuesday awarded Pasternak $150,000. Jurors found that his former boss, Tommy E. Baines, discriminated against him racially and created a hostile working environment.
I've been working in the corporate world for a little over a year now (most of my career was in DoD). Some words/phrases I keep hearing people use that really annoy the hell out of me.
Techies and marketing folks love to use buzzwords. Sometimes I can't even understand something as simple as a trouble ticket because the buzzword level is so high. When I get to be the maker of rules, the heavy use of buzzwords will be a punishable offense.
For more ranting, check out this beautiful screed on the use of buzzwords. And of course, I'd be a fool not to mention the Plain English Campaign.
Earthday 2007 is today. To do my part, I've set my heater to 80°, opened all my windows, started both cars WITH the A/C on, and will burn all the wood I can find this evening.
Also in honor of this day, I will be watching this outstanding movie.

I'm glad it's finally over. I'm sick to death of all the disappointment this season. Hopefully next year it'll all come together. It feels like they're just one player (not a superstar, just a mature voice) away from really great things. I just hope Coach Parcells decides to stay.

SHAFTED - This guy plays the slot better than any corner in the league. And, considering his slight build, HE HITS.

SHAFTED - This guy leads the league in touchdown receptions. Only two other receivers in the league have more receptions. To put Anquan Bolden into the Pro Bowl over T.O. is just wrong.
EDIT (Sat Jan 06 22:41:05 PST 2007): You know what... I've changed my mind. This blowhard doesn't derserve to go. SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE FOOL!

SHAFTED - Do I even need to stay anything about this? It's friggin Tom Brady and a bunch of guys he doesn't know... AND THEY'RE GOING TO WIN THEIR DIVISION!
