Operation Go Flag Yourself -- The dissent is really picking up speed. I wonder when Obama and his minions will crack down. How much will it hurt?
My email to flag@whitehouse.gov.
Dear Snitch Brigade,
I am bad. I am having impure thoughts about health care reform. I like the system we have. I WORK (shocking... I know) hard to make enough money to live a comfortable life AND PAY FOR THE EXCELLENT HEALTH CARE I RECEIVE...
See. Impure thoughts. I should be taken away to a re-education camp immediately. Please help.
Regards,
Mike Gauthier
Wow! What a cop out!!! Rep. Honda may have a very good reason for not having a face-to-face "townhall" meeting during this year's August recess, but I bet he doesn't. I bet he's simply hiding from answering to his well informed constituents.
Considering the landmark nature of this reform, I believe it is very important that a substantive discussion occur between neighbors, friends, families, and elected officials. This is why I am hosting a Telephone Town Hall on August 25, 2009 at 6:30pm. I would like to invite you to participate, and ask me your questions personally on one of the most important issues of our day: Healthcare reform.
. . .
My office will be randomly selecting a cross-sample of constituents to call, however, if you want to guarantee your involvement in this telephone town hall, please fill out this web form.
Random my ass. I'm going to submit my question and listen in, but I'm sure all I'll hear will be pro health care reform, softball questions. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my hat.
Mike Honda's Telephone Townhall August 2009
UPDATE: It looks like I may as well tell my concerns to the blank wall in front of me. After read this, I now understand the "telephone townhall" much better. He has absolutely no intention of listening to his constituents. I'll try anyway, but I'm not holding my breath.

Do we really want to give exclusive control of our health care over to the federal government? Perhaps we should? "Cash for Clunkers" has gone so incredibly well! It's a wonderful example of just how efficient our (massive) federal government is.
I know, I know... It won't happen with Obamacare. How could something that makes you feel so good actually be the wrong thing to do?
No matter what all the self-righteous assholes at LGF say, this picture is NOT FUCKING RACIST! It is completely legitimate political commentary. President Obama is black. Get over it already!

If all you see is racism when you look at this statement on Obamacare, get off the Soma and take a walk around Malpais -- you might shock yourself.
How has the Obama administration ended up on the same side as Chavez and Castro in the Honduras "crisis"? It's embarrassing! Perhaps this gives us an insight into this administration's commitment to the rule of law.
And now we have this story: results of Zelaya's illegal referendum found. You know... the one that never happened.
One would think this would get some attention, but no. As an example, we get this on the front page of Google News when searching the term "honduras".
That's right -- attack the US instead.
President Obama said this on Friday:
We are excited to see what appears to be a robust debate taking place in Iran. Whoever ends up winning the election in Iran, the fact there has been a robust debate hopefully will advance our ability to engage them in new ways.
What is he talking about? He's more and more like Neville Chamberlain every day.
Vice President Biden at least spoke some truth on 'Meet the Press' this Sunday:
"It sure looks like the way they're suppressing speech, the way they're suppressing crowds, the way in which people are being treated, that there's some real doubt," he told NBC's "Meet the Press" when asked if Ahmadinejad had won the vote.
I wonder if America will survive the next couple of years. Even if she does survive, I doubt she will look anything like she does today.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement today.
"The President's pledge for a new beginning between the United States and the Muslim community takes root here in the Justice Department where we are committed to using criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans. A top priority of this Justice Department is a return to robust civil rights enforcement and outreach in defending religious freedoms and other fundamental rights of all of our fellow citizens in the workplace, in the housing market, in our schools and in the voting booth."There are those who will continue to want to divide by fear - to pit our national security against our civil liberties - but that is a false choice. We have a solemn responsibility to protect our people while we also protect our principles."
These people really scare the crap out of me. What world do they live in? They have a horribly BAD case of BDS.
That's effectively what Netanyahu said today when he told the Obama administration that their demand to stop settlement growth was "unreasonable". I wonder what Obama will do now? He's not been told no yet by anyone of consequence? Will he play a clean, smart political game? Not likely. I suspect being he's so full of himself, he'll pull out all sorts of strongly worded doubletalk. SCARY!
