Post Election Poem

Category: rave
Author: possibly Frances Matthews (whoever that is)

The election is over. The results are now known.

The will of the people has clearly been shown.

We should show by our thoughts and our words and our deeds

That unity is just what our country now needs.

Let's all get together. Let bitterness pass.

I'll hug your elephant.

You kiss my ass.

 Subtle CBS Bias?

Category: general
Take a close look at the image below. Notice the Presidential Race Summary at the bottom. Does anything about it seem strange to you?

CBS_bias

This image was cut from http://election.cbsnews.com/election2004/ on Wed Nov 3 12:52:39 UTC 2004.

Can someone please explain to me WHY John Kerry is listed first? G comes before J. B comes before K. 58,150,432 is more than 54,612,729. 254 is more than 242. WTF?

I also saw this interesting method of listing the results here (http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/home/main100.shtml).

CBS... see BS? Strange to say the least.

Update (Mon Nov 8 10:38:06 JST 2004): With the election completely and unquestionably over, CBS News still has John Kerry listed first on their website. You can see it here (Check the Presidential Race Summary table.).
